the valley house

A c o s y h o m e i n t h e I R I S H h i l l s

Between dramatic mountaintops, mysterious red oak woods and tranquil lakeviews lies The Valley House, surrounded by a lush garden filled with trees known and unknown. A true nature getaway nestled in the McGillycuddy Reeks.

The Valley House is right on the Kerry Way walking trail, one of Ireland’s longest, signposted walking trails. Here you will find Carrauntoohil, Ireland's highest mountain which is part of the McGillycuddy Reeks mountain range. At the foot of these mountains is the Killarney National Park with its world famous lakes of Killarney. The Valley House is situated just after the Gap of Dunloe, close to the Ring of Kerry. Here you can enjoy boat/horse-riding trips and many picturesque walks.

The house dates back as far as 1900 and has been renovated throughout the years but still retains much of the charm and character of its original features. We have a large open plan living room and kitchen with a wood burning stove and all the space you need to just relax.

There are four bedrooms in The Valley House which can sleep up to eight people.
