Three Year Project
The Valley House is a family owned house in Ireland’s highest mountain range in the south west of Ireland. The house was bought in 1998, from the previous owner Lily, a Belgian artist. Coming from an artistic family the house was the perfect place to continue the artistic tradition. With the help of our extended family in the Netherlands our house was renovated and slowly but surely became a home, always full of friends. After moving back to the Netherlands for a while my brother and myself decided to return to Ireland to bring the Valley House back to life. We started our project with a lot of enthusiasm.
After two years we decided to get some help. I set up a profile on Workaway and within a few weeks our home in the Valley was full of beautiful people from all over the world. We worked hard and laughed harder. We became great friends. Within the year the Valley House was ready.
